New York Event Description
South Indian-born pianist and composer Charu Suri brings with her a group of musicians who will present two programs: The Book of Ragas, a variation on the traditional jazz trio with the voice of Sufi/ghazal singer Apoorva Mudgal, and The New American Songbook. The latter is a collection of original pieces inspired by the tunes of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and others, with singer Danielle Erin Rhodes.
